Three main dimensions to screen size are:
• Height of Screen
• Width of Screen
• Distance from Floor or stage to bottom of screen.
Bigger is better in a lot of instances; however,
in order to determine the screen width and size the following
are good starting points:
Small audiences (70 or under):
Screen Height should be at least ½ the distance from screen
to first row.
Larger Audiences: Screen Width
should be at least 1/5 the distance from the screen to the back
row.
Distance from floor to bottom of screen:
Minimum of 4 ft., larger audiences should be higher to insure
that the bottom of the screen isn’t cut off from viewing
by the people sitting in front half of audience.
